Cocoon Day Spa Rockridge is looking for a part-time, on-site Massage Therapist to join our team in Oakland, CA.

This role involves performing a variety of professional massage services, including therapeutic and relaxation massage, and prenatal massage in accordance with spa protocols and client needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client consultations, recommending appropriate treatments, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and documenting services provided.

The therapist will collaborate with the spa team to ensure a seamless and positive guest experience, support retail recommendations when appropriate, and follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards. Evening and weekend availability may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and create a welcoming, professional experience for every guest.
• Proficiency in therapeutic massage techniques, including body massage modalities tailored to client needs and wellness goals.
• Ability to support clients with stress management through appropriate massage techniques, calming presence, and clear guidance on self-care.
• Current massage therapy license or certification in California and compliance with all state regulations.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications to ensure safe, effective treatments.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and ethical practice.
• Willingness to work a consistent part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed, and to collaborate effectively with spa colleagues.
